Healing Comparison Spreadsheet v1.4 Print E-mail

From Aderyn:
This spreadsheet allows one to enter in statistics for their gear such as +healing and crit rate and get data in return which is useful for determining build efficiency using metrics such as hp/s and hp/mana and the tradeoffs involved in different gear sets. It also is a good comparator of the different healing classes and the talent builds they have available.

Thanks for your interest =] I should have a new version out by the end of the week. I've already incorperated the paladin changes and fixed some bugs, but just want to make sure its polished. If you'd like a beta version feel free to email me =]
Very Good

Excellent spreadhsheet! You may need to update it though now that 1.9 is out. Holy Power adds 5% crit to spells, FoL gets a 12% increase in heal instead of a 12% reduction in mana. Also your crit formula is incorrect - there is a blue post saying that crit is based on your total INT, depending on class/level. For a level 60 mage you get 1 crit for 59.5 INT and I think this has been confirmed for priests as well. For Paladin's I believe it is around 29INT for one crit percent (after a test of 5k FoLs I did). You really start to see the power of Paladin heals when you incorporate our large crit percentage with illumination - I wish I could show this to everyone who turns down a pally in a healing role ;-)

Whoops, I fixed this in my copy, but never uploaded it :o Sorry about that. I sent a new version to Xombies, but since he's out of town, you can either email me at houseofkimchi at gmail for the new version or if you enter in the values in the mana mod column they will still be reflected in the calculations. Thanks for pointing that out =]

Re: HoT and +heal???

I could understand how this is a little confusing, the +heal mod is based on the cast time only, and is still being calculated there because it needs to be for druid's regrowth spell. The modifier is not being applied to the HoT portion of the spell, only the initial heal (which for renew is non-existant). I'll make sure to erase those values from renew and RJ in my next update.
HoT and +heal???
Written by Guest on 2005-11-02 01:28:38
Well, the only thing that bother me is why the bonus from +healing is not set to 1 for Renew and RJ? They are HoT, so the receive full bonus from +heal.

Other than that, very nice work!
nvm

i guess i have to put in .0#, not #, oops :x
I think it might be wrong

When it calculates the item crit, the formula says T2/10000, and T2 looks like intel so, maybe that should be lower? I'm not sure though.. I don't really understand the whole crit formula there anyway :?

bug fixes
Written by aderyn on 2005-06-15 19:43:43
I've recieved some terrific feedback on this, and have a few changes that I'll integrate in the next couple of days. First, the +healing equation doesn't currently scale correctly for lower rank spells. And second, I'm going to add in a column for int so its easier to do comparison. Both of these things require some T&E first though =]
btw
