Description :

This was a simple mod at conception aimed at making a healer's job easier (gods know healers need all the help they can get). Since then it has become a great tool for any class.
What It Does:
This mod provides you with 8 highly configurable action bars of 20 buttons each. Each bar is assigned to a specific target: one for you, one for each party member, one for friendly targets, one for hostile targets, one that targets the member of the party with the lowest health. A bar doesn't display if its target is unavailable (i.e., self bar always displays, a party bar only displays if you're grouped with at least 1 other person, etc.). Clicking a button on one of the bars will use its action on the person to whom the bar is assigned then immediately switch you back to your previous target. You can also set a spell on a bar to assist the bar's target before casting, in which case it won't return you to your previous target.
Additionally, you can set spells to cast when you hold down a combination of ctrl, alt, and shift and click on a unit frame. It works just the same as pressing the button so all your options for that spell are applied. This currently works with the default unit frames, Discord Unit Frames, MiniGroup, Nurfed Unit Frames, Nymbia's Perl Unit Frames, and WatchDog.
The click-casting feature also works with CT_RaidAssist.
Group Buttons now has bars for pets and raid members. Only the buttons 1 through 5 will show up on this bars but the rest can still be used for click-casting.

The Features:
* Does not use any of your action button slots. This mod creates its own action buttons.
* Easy to use GUI for setting up your bars.
* Drag each bar to where you want it by unlocking the bars.
* Many display options to customize bar/button appearance: resize individual bars, transparency, change the layout of the buttons, attach the bars to unit frame so they move along with it, show the bar when you mouseover the unit frame, and more.
* Define when you want buttons to be shown and they'll remain hidden until conditions meet those you specified: target needs a buff, target needs a cure, show only in combat, etc.
* Set spells to assist a bar's target before being cast
* Set a spell to auto-update to its highest rank on training
* Set a spell to prevent you from rebuffing a target
* Set a buff to automatically cast the highest rank of the buff the target can receive
* Set a heal to scale down to a lower rank that matches your target's lost health better
* Set a heal spell to automatically cancel its casting if the target's health passes a threshold you define.
* Set a damage spell to scale down to the minimum rank necessary to kill a mob
* Options to announce you're casting spell and announce if the spell was interrupted or failed. Options to configure the text you use on such announcements
* Target the bar target's pet on shift-click, spells set to assist will assist that pet
* Force overhealing or overkill when holding Ctrl and clicking a button.
* The Lowest Health bar can optionally be set to include pets and/or raid members.
* Buffs and cures on the Lowest Health bar will apply that buff or cure to the first person it finds who needs it.
* Raid and Pet settings can be used to setup click-casting for those units but do not add button bars yet.
* The function /script GB_CureAny() can be used in a macro to choose the appropriate cure to use on someone who's debuffed.
Many thanks to IDispatch and Nicorg for thier French translations!
Many thanks to Boergen for his German translations!
* Note for unit frame click-casting support * The mod has to draw an invisible button over the unit frame for this feature to work. In most cases, you won't notice it's there. You can see the clickboxes as translucent gray boxes over the unit frames when you open the options window. There are some mods where it will cover the buff/debuff icons. All you have to do is go to Group Buttons's Misc Options and adjust the size of the clickbox until it no longer covers them. Also, if you want to drag a unit frame, it's best, usually necessary, to open Group Buttons's options and click Hide Clickboxes first.
** A complete rundown of all the options can be found in the readme.html file **

v4.95
New Features:
* New Misc Option: Modify Cooldown Display by UI Scale. Checking or unchecking this box should help to fix the cooldown "clock" from being off-center and the wrong size.
* Added an announce option to send all announcements to a specified channel. Just type in the name of the channel. It will override your other announce channel settings so that it always sends them to the channel.
* Will now check all 16 debuffs on a unit.
Bug Fixes:
* Returned to the old targetting code.
* Added code to re-check all contexts on the raid bars when raid members change.
* Fixed party pet bars showing up when party members change if you had them hidden.
* Range checking will now check UnitIsVisible as well to fix an issue patch 1.7 introduced.
* Made a change in the way German clients detect if a spell is a damage spell.

Group Buttons vs Blizzard update
Written by mixa on 2006-01-08 11:08:23
I have a mid-level priest and have been button mashing my heals from lvl 1...that is until i discovered "Group Buttons." Group Buttons made my life as a priest much more enjoyable and intuitive.
But ever since Bllizzard sent through there January update my group buttons are unable to function properly. Blizzards update has killed my "group button" UI and I am very unhappy to go back to my button mashing days.
Please, someone, tell me that someone is working at patching "group buttons" so that it will work with this updated version of WOW. If so please give me an ETA on when "Group Buttons" will be fixed.
P.S. Have you seen what blizzard has done to buffs and debuffs...they no longer show next to the portraits. You now have to mouse over the portraits to see what buffs and debuffs are on the player. For gods sakes what is blizzard trying to do? If someone knows of an add-on that will fix that Please give me a link.
P.P.S Thanks for the site, it has really been helpful in making my character a more effective priest.

I downloaded the mod today. It seems like a very nice mod if I get it working as intended which I am not able to at them moment. For example setting the keybindings to work, I don't get that about the target with lowest health, it would be very neat if I could. can't find it in the Readme yet so, help is appritiated.
Yess!!!
