Static spiritmana/5 sec formulas don't work, as spirit regen rate is going to vary widely based on how long you're within the 5-second rule. Also, if you're in a scenerio where Innervate is a likely candidate, then spirit >>>> mana/5sec.
In MC during boss fights, I typically have 408 spirit and 29 mana/5 sec and am routinely the last priest to run out of mana. Typically, I'm within the 5-second rule during 60%-65% of the fight.
If you haven't already done so, go get the MUSE addon. It'll show you number for spirit, mana/5sec, how long you're within the 5second rule and other useful tidbits for serious number crunching.
