Empowered vs Trans Legs - 2006/02/04 11:48
Hello fellow priests,
if you had to choose which item would you prefer for the leg slot (for PvE)?
Empowered Leggings or Leggings of Transcendence?
Assuming you'd get the 3-piece t2 bonus in any case and the ZG enchant.
The recent addition of 7m/5sec to the transcendence legs makes it a tough
choice imo. Picking Empowered over T2 results in:
- +31 heal
- +1% spell crit
- +3 spirit
- -4 stamina
- -9 int
- -7 m/5 sec
Does the massive +heal mod (+101 with Prophetic Aura) make up for the lack of
m/5sec (+4 instead of +11)? Just looking for some opinons.

Hi, in my opinion Transcendance Leggings are clearly better than Empowered Leggings in most situations.
My reasoning come from the value I'm assigning to each stat.
1 point = 1 mana/5 sec = 6-9 +healing = 2,5-3 spirit = 5-9 int = 3% crit
(im ignoring Stamina compleately, since I have a hard time fitting it into the model, luckely for me most end game gear have about the same stamina making me able to do this)
The values differ since they depend on what kind of fight it is. These are the values that I use myself, I will not go through the motions of explaining them all, I'm to lazy, and just giving my view on the items in question. What I can say is that the values are based on empirical data from bossfights using MUSE and mathematical formula for +healing needed to go down in rank on healingspells, mainly Flash Heal.
So, if we take the most favorable equations for the stats specific to Empowered legging they get.
5,17 + 0.33 + 1.2 = 6.6points
and Trans get, using the lowest value possible:
7 + 1 = 8points
Empowered Leggings used to be better, but after the buff to Trans Legs, they are now the best.
