Priest makeover in 1.10? - 2006/01/30 17:45
Well, read the prepatch - 1.10 notes and thank godness they were fake.
I can't be satisfied with anythin less than Blizzard addressing the following issues:
* Healing Priests ability to survive, gain honor and make a real difference in PvP.
* The general lack of interesting items for the priest. I mean - what else other then Benediction/Anathena is worth investing in.
* The fact that 50% of the priest talents are widely unused by majority of the population. Excluded the Shadow tree.
* The priests pathetical "crowd control" abilities:
A.) Mind soothe - a totally useless ability both PvP and PvE.
B. Fear. While this is the Priest best crowd control ability - it is limited to 5 units and is breakable to most classes . An undead warrior for example can have 3 different items that breaks the fear - giving the priest another 30 sec visit at the grave yard - where we spends 50% of the time in PvP battle grounds.
C. Mind control. Shorter range than DPS spells, dispellable and "unpredictable" makes it generally uselass in any other situation than in a 2-5 man party. Good for a laugh - but still useless. Give it 50 yard range, let it be dispellable, mana expensive - but then it would make a real crowd control ability. As it is now - remove it entirely.
D. Greater Heal and prayer of healng is supposed to be our best heals. The problem is that Greater Heal increases the chance of the target getting killed before it lands, using it in PvE is dangerous. Especially in MC/BWL. Prayer of Healing is nice - but the chance of over healing (wasting mana) simply doesn't make it worth it.
E. Fade. In it's current form - only useful in PvE - where it is a real life saver. However - utterly useless in PvP.

As a Shaman or Pally

 That is excellent. Exactly how i feel in WSG! I hope that something is done to level the playing field somewhat.
