The Shaman 'omgwtfpwnt!' Rumor - 2005/06/27 10:25
Hey all,
I'm thinking of starting a Horde alt, to get a feel for the other side of the game...
I was thinking of trying a Shaman, because I've played all the other classes up enough to know a little bit about them, and I'm wondering if anyone can tell me anything about Shaman's supposed uberness (I like PvPing :D).

Well, from the limited experience I have with Shamans, they're just too freakin versitile (and they can wear leather armor!). They have (forgive me if the names are a tad off):
Frost Shock: Does moderate damage and slows the target. Great for running down people trying to get away.
Earth Tremor Totem: Slows movement to a crawl and interrupts casting.
Electric shock: Can do large amounts of damage.
Purge: Basically the same as a Priests Dispell Magic.
Ghost Wolf: Fast casting travel spell that makes it easy to run away from combat. Easily one of my least favorite things about fighting a shaman.
Whirlwind: Allows them to do something like 300% damage and gain an additional attack and could proc multiple times. Makes them tough even in melee.
Healing totems and Healing spells: We all know how much we love self healing. 
These are jsut a few things off the top of my head. They probably have tons more, but after just fighting shaman, I know I'd like to be able to do half of what they can do.

Well, in the hour I've put in, my level 9 Shaman doesn't die, and takes on multiple mobs without blinking... broken I.W.I.N. button my left nut.

LOL sounds about right. Although "once you get to 60 we're screwed"! At least that's what I read on all the other shaman boards.
A load of crap if you ask me, but meh, every class thinks they're underpowered.
