How did you come up with your character name? - 2005/05/23 15:55
Talking with Chiefstingy in another thread made me think of this. Every time I replied with him, i was like "I wonder how he got his name..."
So, I will start!
I was trying to find the prettiest possible girl I could make on horde. When i settled on her, I realized I picked her race and looks 100% based on vanity. So, you can take it a step farther and say that my character, in RP terms, is very vain.
I just kinda played around with the word for a minute til I got "Vaynia"

HAHA.
Well i got my name from 2 nicknames from HS. Chief because I am Native American. Stingy has a story.
Fresman year in HS at break time i woudl always pick up a bag of Peanute M&Ms and wouldnt finish em before break was over. So i used to bring them into my next class. When i got there people would ask for some M&Ms (damn moochers). The nice guy that I am went ahead and shared my M&Ms. One day i when some asked I told him no. He proceeded to call me stingy. He just harped on it calling me stingy over and over. One of the guys in the class herad it and also called me stingy. THis guy also was in just about everyone of my classes but one. So through out the whole day he called me stingy. He even told all my friends to call me stingy. We became freinds but ever since through out HS and some of college i have been called stingy... although i am far from being stingy.
Combine the nikcnames for Chiefstingy.
Chiefstingy Undead Priest -Alleria
Chiefstingie Tauren Warrior -Alleria
Chiefstngy Tauren Druid -Alleria

I'll bite...
My first priest on WoW was named Sectual. Apparently some people took this to mean sumthin about sex as opposed to one who is in a Sect of some Holy group... silly people 
That name was a holdover from my healer Bot that I inherited on Everquest. I provided my list of names and they accepted Chilled as a viable alternate. (Female Undead Priest)
Later on... On a PVP server I created another... I like to have orignal names for all my toons, so I named the new one Jihaad. At least one person didn't like it either but so far it's not been changed. More people seemed to like Sectual although Jihaad is popular... Oh well, fewer tells to deal with
I also have a Tauren Shaman named UdderPower... You can figure that one out I'm sure :D

My name came with me from FFXI, simply truncated. In FFXI my name was Nishishishii. I figured to be nice I would cut it back to what people called me anyway, Nishi. I enjoy the name, nice short and unique so any healer I make from then on would be Nishi.

My name came with me from FFXI, simply truncated. In FFXI my name was Nishishishii. I figured to be nice I would cut it back to what people called me anyway, Nishi. I enjoy the name, nice short and unique so any healer I make from then on would be Nishi.

My priests name is Alita, named after the anime, Battle Angel Alita. I used that name a long time ago in my first MMO, Asheron's Call and hadn't used it since. Since a lot of old AC friends play WoW as well, I thought it only fitting to bring her back.
As for Xombie, I actually got that because I was nicknamed Zombie in college because I rarely used to sleep. I'd go to school full time, go to work 50+ hours a week and still go home and game for 2 hours or so. People said I was sleepless like the dead and well, occassionally looked like a zombie as well. 
I just added the X because I thought it was cool. Then Xombie (www.xombified.com) the web series came out and everyone thinks I got my name from there.

I'll Bite... hmmm well.. i've always been a fan of the winter season... it just feels soo clean and crisp during that time of year... and what better way to describe a priest than cleanliness... Problem is.. winter sounded to simple.. over used... so I tried alot of words to suffixiate winter that had everything that season and still had a good ring to it... and thats where Winterfrost comes from... this is my First MMORPG.. so i think i'll be using this name for ages to come!..
what do you guys think?

I used the name generator in US beta, it came up with something stupid like Gerusjoaap
So i thought, keep the first 4 characters and bingo - GERU was born 
edit -forgot not logging on as Geru in this forum lol - Kissie is cause the first characters of my wifes car registration is KS51 - so we afectionately call her Kissie (and all my female mmo toons are a variation on that)

My priest name is Unshadow, b4 i started friend told me that Shadow Priest is a good class to play. Was in a hurry so just put something the UN infront, as in the opposite of something. like UNcool...which in logical sense would make me a Holy priest, which i'm currently am not.....doesnt make sense...

All my toons have Chef built into them somehow since I'm a Pastry Chef. Deathchef is Undead, Minichef is a gnome and Chefmilo.....well I've always liked the name Milo
