Prophetic Aura suggestions! - 2006/04/03 03:15
We ran thru Dire Maul West last nite and I was lucky enough to win the roll for Librum of Focus! Yippee!
My guild is just on the edge of doing ZG, so I want to hang on to this librum so that eventually I can get the ZG enchant, Prophetic Aura. Until I get there, I need to plan ahead as to what head or leg item I would want to apply this enchant to. Any suggestions would be incredibly helpful! I'm currently wearing Sacred Cloth Leggings and Crown of the Ogre King for those slots. I'm thinking to severely upgrade one of those items for this enchantment.
As I mentioned, we're not quite to ZG, but we'll be there real soon. MC is still a bit off, tho I have been invited to raid with other guilds. So where should I set my sights for this enchant?

Congrats on getting the Libram. Those things are going for 400-500g on my server, so you would be well advised to use it wisely. 
I’m going from memory here, so forgive me if I overlook something. You’ll need 2xSkins of Shadow, Black Diamond, and the Libram of Focus to get the Arcanum of Focus. The Prophetic Aura requires the Arcanum, Primal Hakari Tabard, and the Priest Hoodoo Doll. From what I’ve gathered you may still be little ways off from actually having collected all that is need for the Prophetic Aura. My guess is, by the time you have all of the mats gathered you will have had a number of upgrades. Not a bad thing IMO…
Although it may not seem like it, your Transcendence head piece is not far outside of your grasp. Many guilds find that they are able to get Onyxia on farm status before they have all of MC on farm status. She’s a generous dragon in that she’ll drop 2 Tier 2 epic head pieces every time she falls. Kill her every 5 days, and you’ll have your Tier 2 epic head piece in no time  There are all kinds of Onyxia strats available out there to ensure your success.
Who knows, you may find that you’ll have your Transcendence Head before you even have all the mats for Prophetic Aura. If that’s the case, then your decision will be easy . On the flip side, if you have your Prophetic Aura beforehand, I would definitely recommend waiting. The time/effort required is not worth anything less than Transcendence IMO.

Thanks for the tip Brodi I really hope I can wait that long LOL we are on the brink of just thinking about doing 20man raids and was fielding the idea that there might be something out there pre-MC that would be worthy of such a libram. Focus goes for around 400g on my server too. When it dropped I was all giddy as a lil school girl while the rest of my group was kinda like huh?... I musta blew their ear drums out on ventrillo when I won the roll! So I do fully appreciate the value of this lil gem!
