CT Raid and Decursive - 2006/02/21 22:43
My guild has just started running ZG and MC. We have a requirement the CTraid and decursive mods are installed. Myself and most of the guild are new to these mods. Please give some recommendations about:
What settings are good for priests?
What settings are good for other casters?
What are some really value added functions?
How to best use the mana conserve functions?
As always, your help is appreciated.

OK, this things you need to know about CTRA and Decursive is that, unless you have them your going to be sucking it, most, if not all guild i know of use both of them and they are required mods.
Ok, CTRA 1st, because it the most info.
- Mana Conservation: This is an option that allows you to automaticly stop/interupt casting a healing based spell if the person is above a certain level (% or #) - I usualy have it set to the ammount i heal for MINUS the ammoiunt i am willing to over heal. (IE.Flash heal, rank 7, heals about 1000 minimum, and the most i am willing to over heal is 200, so i set my CTRA Mana conservation for flash heal to 800) I then put the check timer to 0.5 seconds, I do this to make sure that in that last .5 seonds the tank/person really needs the heal.
- Emergency Monitor - aka the inattentive priests best friend - Basicly you give it a value or percent and anyone below that shows up in the monitor box.
As forother settings...those are the only 2 really neccessary ones you need from CTRA, IMO, however there a a few others just mess with the settings
As for decursive, all you really need to do is once you've installed it, go into kwy bindings (that's ESC -> Key Bindings, Scroll down to the bottom) and bind a key to it. I perfer ~ it's right by my 1 key and it usually doens't get in the way
You may also want to bind the Priority list, it is unneccessary however.
Other then that...
EDIT: Typo central...i think i got them all, probably didn't

For a priest, you need to :
- pop the MT monitor with MT target's target (raid leader will select MTs)
- show magic & disease debuffs
- show hp, spirit, shield (buff & debuff), renew, druid hot, soul stone
- as for myself, I show life deficit, which helps me deal with mana conserv
CTRA will send messages when someone is debuff with those that you selected.
Decursive will help you spam automatic dispels. With v.1.9.0 though, you can popup a monitor which enables you to select the exact debuff/person you want to dispel.

another thing you might want to do is organize all your healers (priest, pally, druids, shamans) into a private channel so you could communicate among the others some of the events (innervate, players death, oom) going on within each encounter.
(Sometimes Vent/TS gets too crazy)
